Online gaming is fun. You can play with your friends and meet new ones. However you every once and a while find really mean or weird person. I think it matters because kids about 8 to even 5 year olds playing these games with these people. I think that kids 10 and older should be able to play with some setting set to keep these kids safe. Right?
So my dad has set the settings so I can only hear my friends. However, I have one friend at school that is really quiet at school but is really mean and obnoxious. Sometimes you can't protect yourself enough because they seem quiet and nice but online they aren't. Don't you agree?
It could matter because these people online will cuss and these kids won't know what it means and goes yelling it at school. Then you have the weirdos that ask for the kids address which that can get scary. How would you feel if a guy came to your door claiming he knows you/your son/daughter.
It sounds like there are some dangers to online gaming. Are the dangers ever addressed anywhere?
ReplyDeleteSadly not many people point out the blood, swearing, and killing. Most people overlook the rating and not realize it has nudity, blood gore, ect.
